My jaw dropped when Dorothy Perkins said they wanted to come to my house and photograph their “At Home” Christmas campaign. I’ve worked with them a lot this year and I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- they are a dream! And so innovative. They have some gorgeous bits for this Christmas!
The marketing team came with photographer Victoria Metexas from Aurora Stories and brought a whole lot of Christmas decorations to do up the front room and make it look all festive!
So a few weeks previous (as you may have seen from my Instagram) I went up to their head office, Arcadia Group with the two smallies to choose my favourite clothes from their AW collection for the shoot. We were styling Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day (or Stephens Day as we would say in Ireland!)
For Christmas Eve, I chose this beautiful Faux Fur Coat, Black Dress and Boots. I really like the slits in the arms and it actually made my arms look slimmer. Ha! It’s velvet and a bit stretchy, so super comfy after a dinner / whole load of Mince Pies and Baileys! I dressed down the coat the following few days with black skinnies and flat black boots.
For Christmas Day, (this outfit was my fave) I chose this sweater, but in a size 12. I am usually an 8, but decided I liked it more slouchy. It dressed down the patent skirt perfectly too. Again, comfortable enough to be running around the house after the kids, but keeping that bit of glam going too. The heel on the boots are not high and your foot slides into the soft material, which fitted me perfectly.
For Boxing Day (Stephens’ Day!) I went for GLAM GLAM. I felt like the clutch is one of those you have to have in your wardrobe and will go with everything. The earrings are so gorgeous!! When do you ever see me wearing anything like these! Well i will be from now on. The tuxedo dress is (as i said on the website) so 80’s power woman and I felt like one when wearing it! Especially with killer heels. Note: Great thing about wrap dresses is that they really just wrap over you and are so complimentary to any figure. Winner!
