When the lovely ladies at Laura Ashley asked me to create more images for their AW16 collection, I naturally veered towards this black number. As you know, LBD’s hold a big place in my heart and the High Neck Lace Bib Silk Dress ticked all the boxes/satisfied all my needs in a dress for Autumn. (Yeah, I know it’s 32 degrees outside, but I’m just giving you a post heatwave dress option!)
It was lovely to take my followers along with me on my Instagram Stories when I was deciding on how to style it. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go real pretty or delve dark. I chose the latter.
The trusted leather jacket is always a goodie and I borrowed this one from my photographer (@thebubblecollective)’s car boot.
This dress has wonderful detail and yes, I know I always say, but it’s so comfy. I wore the size UK8 and I am usually a UK10. There is a black V-Neck slip underneath the delicate overall piece, which I actually wore today with flip-flops, so it’s actually like two dresses for the price of one!
I just went on the site and saw it’s gone down to £87.50 from £125. Success!
Last time I spoke about how their beautiful red floral dress was versatile and this is the same which makes it such a good buy. I can pair this with black tights in Winter or even chunky sock coming out over ankle boots. Ok, that idea literally just came to me as I was writing this, so off to buy some now!!
