I feel like I say “as a mum” a lot, but I can’t help it. Wether it’s to do with my political views or buying a pair of winter boots, I’m constantly coming out with it.
When I was scrolling through the Marks and Spencer site for a pair of shoes to chose for this collaboration, I was on the lookout for something that would give the Tesco run a lil glam, and keep date night casual cool. (Who am I kidding. When are these date nights actually going to happen?!) Basically a pair of boots which I could throw on with a pair of jeans, are waterproof for the torrential’s, but dress up on outfit in a split second. I opted to style both a casual and dressy outfit to show you just how versatile these leather beauties can be.
I have tonnes of grungy, super casual boots and OTT dressy shore, but what I was in NEED of was a pair flat shoes which I can run around in, are comfy enough to walk a long distance in (tried and tested today) but also have a bit of dressy character. It’s safe to say I found “the one”. They fit into my life perfectly. Wearable for running to the train or sitting in a board room having an important meeting. And they’re black. Ya’ll know what I’m like with black! I love the buckle and how sturdy they are. But my favourite thing about them is that they’re quite androgynistic. The combination of the feminine linear shape and then the dominant structure and strength. (Nothing pretty and sweet about these). Even if you’re not a monochrome fan like me, these will simply go with everything. Patterns, long floral dresses, jeans, skirts and tights in the colder months.
