Recently, Sarah and I went to the famous Spring Studios near Camden for a shoot with one of the most incredible brands I’ve ever done a sponsored collaboration with Pandora . I know I say “obsessed” ,”amazing” and “incredible” every.two.seconds…but honestly, they are so smart/kind/supportive in how they work with influencers and it’s an honour to have been asked to be involved in this campaign.
It was all super bloody exciting because I’ve only ever worked as an assistant on shoots like this, but this time I was in front of the camera. As you know, Not shy AT ALL. Ha!
Sarah and I met that morning to pull some matching looks and we decided on these pastel items, which worked perfectly with the beautiful, delicate, silver jewellery. My Mum couldn’t make it over from Ireland, so I invited Sarah along because not only has she been my Photographer since I began taking this whole Instagram thing seriously, but she has been there with my from the start of my Motherhood journey. It’s no coincidence we met on Depop (I randomly bought something from her store and it turned out we were from the same town in Ireland!) and we’ve been stuck to each other ever since.
When we walked in, the team greeted us with open arms and had a spread of food ready for us, which was fit for a king and queen! And not forgetting the huge hair and make up team. They really went all out and I was blown away by how much was going on.
The hashtag and message for the day was #DoTreatMum ( I’ve already put this on my IG post if you’d like to check it out to see some more pictures from the day) and it was such a nice idea to invite us to get our portraits taken by one of the UK’s best photographers, Stephanie Sian Smith . She had her whole team there who we literally laughed our way through the shoot with!
I call this work, which it is, but it doesn’t feel like it 90% of the time. (Not going to lie- sometimes it’s stressful and I want to jack the whole thing in) BUT ….I honestly feel like if you can find a job that never feels like work, then hold on it and cherish it with every single inch of your life. I never take any of these days for granted because I still can’t believe all of this is happening from something that grew so organically.
