Festive Styling with French Connection Home

This is a sponsored blog post.

I remember I put a post up with a photo of a rug on my Instagram a few years ago and I said “I would be over the moon if I got bought a rug for a Christmas present”. I still stick by those words!!

I am interior obsessed (always have been- ask my Dad about rearranging furniture around our front room when I was small) and that’s why it’s a dream to be able to collaborate with French Connection Home.

My vision for creating content for this whole campaign was about making your room more homely. I always say you can have a canvas and that will look beautiful. But what absolutely makes it, is how we style it ourselves.  It’s the most personal thing which is why we call it that “personal touch”.

Believe it or not, I spent hours choosing these pieces from the French Connection website. The room was being renovated at the time and I just trusted they would slot in nicely. What I love most about their Home pieces are the raw materials used. Brass, marbles, different types of textured wood, concrete. I like to call it “Barefoot Luxury”.

I’ll go through my favourite pieces below and tell you why I chose them.

Firstly, THE CABINET.

Now, it’s sold out online at the moment, but it will be back in stock in February – and you will be pleased to hear it is currently available in certain stores which I have listed at the bottom of the post. It’s crafted from natural cane and made from durable mango wood. What I love about this is you can put it anywhere in whatever space you have. It’s such a statement piece and is a beautiful stylish addition to any space. I was thinking about it…how nice would this be in a bathroom? Or an office? As a drinks cabinet? It’s so versatile.

If you can’t get to one of the stores, have a browse of French Connection’s range of furniture online instead.

My next favourite is the Nebula Christmas Decorations. These come in a heart or star shape and not only will they give a contemporary look to your Christmas decor, you can also perch them up onto a shelf or a cabinet like I did here, or a windowsill, a wall hook, a doorknob.

The Molten Table Lamp is also definitely worth mentioning. How gorgeous is this? The shape is so unusual and the backlight makes the room feel so cosy when lit. I actually thought it was a lot smaller than what it was when I looked at it on the site, but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s made from iron and the deep, rich rust colour can fit into any decor.

Another really versatile piece that stood out to me is the Industrial Mirror. I was originally going to put this on top of the cabinet or onto a desk to use as a dressing table. But I just loved the thought of it loose, leaning up against the wall. Its iron border gives it such a raw look, doesn’t it?

I kept the styling of the Coco Sling Leather Chair very minimal. I love the look of it singular in the corner. Perfect for having a few minutes to yourself with a book and a cup of tea. With that Tipped Cashmere Pelt under your feet? Heaven!

I think this was the perfect amount of product to make the room feel “done”. As you know, I never thought I would say the room would be “done!”
