Theatre Break Staycation!

Theatre Breaks with Thomas Cook Eimear Varian Barry Travel

We went away last weekend with Thomas Cook to experience one of their Theatre Breaks and it was brilliant! It was also a great distraction with how worried I felt about everything that’s going on with the baby. We hit the road on Saturday morning and it took us about an hour to drive into central.

I worked with Thomas Cook a few months ago in Manchester and was so happy when they asked me if I wanted to document a trip with them.

We stayed at the Waldorf Hilton which has a total 20’s Great Gatsby vibe. The service was impeccable! That’s what you always get with 100 year hotels…

You really can’t beat that old school service. I asked for a tissue at reception and it was as if I was dying with a flu the way they were running around trying to get me one! Definitely going to pop in for a cocktail (when I stop breastfeeding this little monkey) at the Hotel bar because it’s fabulous.

When we arrived we popped up to Covent Garden and had lunch at Aubaine Deli. It was covered in flowers! The atmosphere is always eclectic in London on a Saturday. I introduced Daniel to Shake Shack too and bored him with stories of when I used to go there when I lived in New York! Haha!

That evening, Saoirse and I went to The Lion King! It was so good! I cried, obviously. I had never been to a West End show before and it blew me away. What a magnificent theatre!

I am giving away a £100 voucher for one of these theatre breaks on my IG here , if you’d like to enter. This is open to my Irish followers too! As I said on my IG post, I would really recommend this little break to everyone. For families, if you’re a lone traveller, for couples, girls weekend etc.
